 Tuesday, December 29, 2009 Help Us Finish 2009 with a BANG! As we approach the New Year, I want to thank you for the support you have given me throughout this year. I am truly grateful for (and quite honestly a little humbled by) the outpouring of well wishes and offers of support for my campaign since I announced in July that I was running against Rush Holt for Congress. Over the next year, I will continue traveling all over the district speaking to people like you- people who are concerned about the big-government leftward turn our country has taken in the last year, all with the full support of Rush Holt. I repeat the offer I've made before: if you can get 15 or 20 people in a room, or in your house, I'll bring the donuts and coffee and come out to speak to them about my vision for the future of America. Rush Holt may outspend me, but he will not outwork me. Regardless of how hard I am willing to work, however, I still need to raise money. In order to defeat an entrenched incumbent, I need to be able to get my message out through direct mail, radio and television advertising. That's where I need your help. First, since we are approaching the end of our latest reporting period, and I ask that you send whatever you can so we will be able to continue our fight to be heard. Second, today I am starting a drive to raise $250,000 via my website, www.mikehalfacre.com. The goal is simple: There is a function on the website which allows you to have installment payments deducted from your credit card every month. If we can get 1,000 people to sign up to donate a minimum of $25 a month from now until November, we can raise $250,000! I realize times are difficult, but I'm hoping that a donation of $25 a month is small enough that you and your family can afford it. If we can get a enough people to do the same, the numbers will be staggering, and it will allow me to tell the voters of the 12th District exactly who Rush Holt is and what he stands for.
